Terre Nere Etna Bianco DOC

from $123.14

If Gavi is Italy’s big sister to Pinot Grigio, this grape called Carricante is Gavi’s big sister. Grown on the volcanic slopes of Mt. Etna in Sicily (dont’ get me started on a volcano wine!), the minerality is incredible. but then it tapers off with lemon zest, white pepper, and for my palate, yellow flowers. You get herbal notes too.

If you’re eating pasta with a cream sauce, please drink Carricante. Then, please see Aglianico for the Red of volcano wines and hear me truly geek out.
